Barbara Chloe Murdoch
Barbara is from Clarkston, Michigan. She moved to Florida in 1979 and began painting in 1992. She paints mostly with watercolors, but ventures into acrylics for some dramatic abstracts. Barbara has great variety in her work, from jungle animals to whimsical abstracts, as in her "Dancing Ladies" and stilt house series. Her colors are bright and her design eye-catching. Her most recent abstract series,"City Lights",is done in rich, dark reds, browns, golds and blues. It is an after-dark abstract cityscape that causes the viewer to search for the hidden mysteries which are waiting to be discovered.
Barbara's work can be viewed at the WildChild Gallery in Matlacha and the Art League of Fort Myers. Barbara participates in many Art Shows throughout the year. You can e-mail her ar barbswatercolors@earthlink.net or call her at 239-768-0577. |

Peg Roehm
I believe an artist's work is justified if it is done with thought, imagination, individuality, and honest feeling.
Saturday classes at the Art Institute in Dayton Ohio inspired her love for Art.
After graduating from Denison University in Granville Ohio, where she received a BA Degree in Fine Art and Education, Peg taught Art in the Dayton Ohio schools and later held a position as Assistant Art Director of the Display Department of a large department store.
During the following years, while raising a family, she was Manager of the Graphic Arts Department at a National Printing Company.
About six years ago, an art class taken on a Colorado vacation renewed her interest in painting.
Peg paints in both Acrylic and Watercolor. In the past she has worked in Silk Screen Printing and Stained Glass. She has painted several murals in the homes of Gulf Harbour residents.
Peg is a member of the Alliance of the Arts and The Art League of Fort Myers. She exhibits regularly in the downtown gallery of the Art League.

Artist's Statement
I use a digital camera to take the original shot, then use various techniques to enhance the image so you, the viewer, can see what I saw when it was captured. The feelings I had while taking the picture and the environment surrounding me at the sceen are what makes each shot unique. I use creative tools to make each version of my images a special piece of art depicting the world's beauty. |
