Vicki Baker, painter and printmaker, was born in Vermont
and grew up there and in California. She has made her
home in Oregon for close to 40 years, and has wintered in
Ft. Myers, FL on a houseboat since the year 2000. Her
summers are spent in Astoria, OR , where she works out
of the printmaking studio at the local community college.
In the winter Vicki is a member of the Art League of Fort
Myers and the Alliance for the Arts and paints in the Art
studios of both locations.
Vicki has taken numerous painting and printmaking
classes and workshops in both Oregon and Florida, and
most recently a printmaking workshop in Guanajuato,
MX. She keeps motivated as an artist by printing and
painting with other artists. For her there is wonderful
energy when artists get together to create art. It is an
environment that she finds both nurturing and supportive.
Vicki Baker’s works are in various private collections
across the U.S. and in Europe. Her work can be viewed
locally at the Art League of Fort Myers, 1451 Monroe St.
Fort Myers, FL.
